Ingham and Cairns

The next stop on our camper travels was Ingham which had an eerie 'entering a horror movie' feel as this place was in the middle of nowhere.

There was a method to our madness though and that was the Wallaman Falls the highest single drop waterfall in Australia. After checking in at our campsite we headed on the hours journey up the mountain into the rainforest. It was a beautiful drive although a bit nerve racking at points as there were bush fires in the rainforest and at some points we were driving through the smoke. We did have a wild wallabee cross our paths as you can see from the photos and finally we reached the top to the amazing views and the waterfall.

Kris drove the final journey yesterday 4 hours into Cairns where we hand back our campervan tomorrow. We wanted to finish in style so have managed to find a 5* caravan site (I didnt even know they had ratings) equipped with free mini golf, the world biggest jumping pillow (see photo) and 3 swimming pools.

This morning we headed to Crystal Cascasdes which are a series of waterfalls through a moutain after completing the trail we decided to cool off in the river which was refreshing to say the least but a great experience - that is until Kris decided to warn me about crocodiles!
