The Great Barrier Reef Part 2

Yesterday saw us boarding another boat to Green Island for a day of snorkelling at the great barrier reef. This time we had the whole day instead of an hour in the water, on arriving at the small island we had a tour on a glass bottom boat over the reef which was fascinating to be shown some of the fish.

We then got in our wetsuits to venture out on our own (after popular demand from Louise I have added another photo of Kris in his wetsuit). The water was so clear and there were so many more fish than our first outing at the Whitsundays. I have attached a couple of photos from the underwater camera.

On the way back we were lucky to see 6 humpback whales in the water and to everyones surprise they proceeded to swim right up to and past our boat. We managed to get some awesome photos and video footage of the whales.

Next stop is New Zealand in 5 hours!!

Well adoring public, I have updated New Zealand as requested.

Sarah - dont give Kris a big head he only planned South East Asia, this is now a joint venture until I take over in the states! hehe!

Vic - it was amazing to see the whales even the crew were shocked how close they got!
