Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary - Brisbane

I am putting it out there early doors that I believe today will be THE highlight of our round the world adventure (Kris feels it is too early to declare this). Today we visited the Koala Sanctuary outside of Brisbane and not only got to watch over 100 Koalas going about their daily business but also got to have a cuddle. We got our photo with Minty which you can see from the photos above, I even got a little excited in the gift shop afterwards having a cuddle with the big version!

We also fed kangaroos today and watched some of the new mums with tiny Joeys in their pouches, it doesn't get much better than this. We watched sheepdogs herd up sheep and even a rather surprised sheep get sheared.

Finally to top off the day we visited the mum and baby koala section where Kris got some amazing photos of a baby koala clutching onto its mum's belly as the mum climbed the trees eating her dinner.

It was one of those days that I had to pinch myself to believe we were actually here.

I must say I said Australia had a lot to live up to versus South East Asia and 2nd day in Oz is bringing it big time!

Hi Emily, I know your keeping so busy that you probably not doing much kindle reading, if you do have the time though my mum has put her new book on amazon. I have to admit I havent read it myself and although the description sounds quite strong apparently its not graphic in any way.

The books called "The bellis perennis chain" obviously if you do have a read and it is any good then feel free to put up a review! Hope your having a great time!
