Senotsa, Singapore Slings, Night Safaris and much more

We met Lou again at the hop on/off bus yesterday morning and made our way over to Sentosa Island which has various tourist activities including Universal Studios, Casino, Underwater world - too much to do in a day. So we quickly agreed that Underwater world was a priority which turned out to be money well spent, our ticket included access to the Underwater world tunnel where we walked underneath all the fish and sharks and saw them being fed, I even stroked a baby shark!

Our ticket also included a 10 min fish spa which if you haven't heard of (they are becoming very popular in the UK) where you stick your feet in a tank with little fish who nibble at your feet and remove the hard skin (its quite ticklish) well Kris and I put our feet in straight away and gritted our teeth through the tickling. It took Lou 5 out of her 10 mins to psyche herself up to putting her feet in and boy was it worth it. As soon as her feet touched the water the fish deserted me, Kris and the only 2 other customers to attack Lou. The squealing was priceless and yes I did catch it all on video. By the time she got settled they called time on all of us I think my belly got the best work out from the all the giggling at Lou.

Then in the afternoon Lou and I went on a couple of 4d rides before we headed back to the main island. As the sun set we got a taxi out to the Singapore zoo to the Worlds 1st Night Safari and what an experience it was. It is open 6pm until midnight and there's a tram that takes you round pointing out all the nocturnal animals and then walking trails to discover them yourself.

It was fascinating to see very unusual animals such as the flying squirrel that almost took Kris and mines head off but also to see how the common animals such as giraffes, lions are so much more active at night time. It was a highlight of our trip so far and a big recommendation for anyone travelling to Singapore in the future.

Lou started work today so Kris and I walked the Botanic Gardens and around the riverside before meeting Lou this evening for the famous Singapore Slings cocktails at Raffles hotel and following the tradition of throwing your peanut shells on the floor. We then headed to dinner on the riverside, I have put a couple of photos up of Kris's dinner choice pre and post ready for eating!

Finally after a few more beers we have sadly had to say goodbye to Lou who has been an amazing travelling companion for the last few days and will be sadly missed as we continue our journey. Thank you Lou for a great couple of days and look forward to seeing you next year!!

This is our final blog from South East Asia, tomorrow sees us going down under for the next leg of the trip! It has been an amazing 2 months in South East Asia with many stories and a ridiculous amount of photos to look back on when we return.
