The Warm Up

In preparation for us going round the world we decided to put in a warm-up trip. We wanted to go to a place where they spoke a different language, ate strange food and used weird money. So where better than Scotland and more specifically Edinburgh.

We got here this afternoon and first impressions was its bloody cold and our bellies were grumbling so after checking in we went on a search for Edinburgh's finest Haggis. Kris started off with Cullen Skink for starter and we both had our very first haggis with neeps and tatties (mashed potato and mashed suede for all you English) recommended by Mandy and Callum. It was just the thing to warm us up and I have added a photo for you all to marvel.

Tomorrows plans are to find lorn sausage (another recommendation to try) and visit Edinburgh Castle.

I am glad you have taken all of your vaccinations before your trip to this 3rd world country. I believe 'Canine Fecal Sausages' are also a specialty in the region.

Who left that comment, a beautiful piece of music and I recognised it straight away as the famous finale scene on friends when they all leave monicas apartment for the last time!!! It brings a tear to my eye. My guess is its my dear gay friend Tony!
