Christmas Day

The fun started on Christmas Eve with a trip to Laura's parents house to have dinner with her family including amazing carrot cake dessert and a chance to catch up with Laura's sisters Carolyn and Kelly.

Then after putting out milk and cookies for Santa and watching Scrooged we went to bed excited about Christmas Day. We were woken up at 7am by Beth and Ryan and groggily made our way upstairs to open presents. Henry loved his new inflatable tiger to take out his extra energy on, Ryan disappeared to the basement after opening 2 lego sets and reappeared an hour later completing them both before moving on to other presents.

Ross and Laura both got each other kindles and I received a new hard drive to back up all these travelling photos. Kris was baffled by his secret Santa present from the King family a Miko Cat baking set, the good news is Abby loved it (as you can see from the photo).

2011 will also be the year that Kris found his much sought after Christmas jumper and with the help from Laura who attached the Rudolph to the jumper it will become a tradition for many more Christmas's to come. Just like buses Kris's mum had also found a Christmas jumper so Kris proudly has 2 cheesy jumpers, one for Christmas Day and one for Boxing Day!

Then with Laura's family, we sat down for our traditional English Christmas Dinner with prawn cocktail starter and then turkey and all the trimmings and finishing off in the evening with Christmas pud and mince pies. I also introduced the Americans to an old English traditional buffet food cheese and pineapple sticks! What more could we ask for!

Thanks to all the friends and family that sent cards and presents and we hope that everyone had a great Christmas too.

Merry Xmas to all the Shears, King and Scrable family members. We hope you had a great one! Also as an official financial investor into Kris's Xmas jumper - I'm very proud that it has started a tradition.
