Just another Day Gun Shooting in Canada

We have had a packed last day in Vancouver starting off with brunch with Nancy's grandmother on the North Shore of Vancouver. Then Scott, Kris and I went to blow off some steam at a gun shooting range.

The adrenalin was pumping as I watched Scott and Kris step up and shoot their first round with a hand gun. My hand was shaky as I picked up and loaded my first ever gun and was very impressed when my first shot went straight through the heart of the target man.

Just as we were getting used to the handguns Scott stepped us up to a rifle which was quite nerve racking. The highlight and subsequent end to my time holding a weapon was when I shot the rifle and the took the target board clean off the metal clip which did not impress the instructor. I was however impressed when he retrieved the clip which had a perfect bullet shaped hole through the metal. Ooops!!

After safely exiting the gun shooting range Scott took us to an ice cream factory which is famous for holding 218 ice cream flavours in store, including curry, garlic, marzipan and amaretto. Kris felt like testing his stomach and had curry ice cream in a cone, ugh!

So this is the end of our travels with Scott, Nancy and Sam in Vancouver we will be sadly leaving them all in the morning to start our next leg of the trip driving across the states. Off to do some research into that!
