The Day we Queued!!

So we arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday and hit the Times Square shopping centre (found an M&S) where we acted like children for a couple of hours playing on the arcades. In the evening we explored Chinatown where we battled our way through hundreds of market stalls and I gave in to my shopping needs and brought myself a Jimmy Choo purse (or a Chimmy Joo)!!

Yesterday saw us find the Petronas twin towers the 3rd tallest building in the world unfortunately we arrived at 9.30am to find out all tickets were sold out and we were told to be there at 7am the next day to queue. Which led to today the day of the queue.

It started at 5.30am where we headed to the Petronas towers for a 4 1/2hour wait to get tickets to the skybridge 41 storeys high. We finally managed to make it to the skybridge - which in my opinion was not worth the wait as the only major sight in KL is the towers so what do you look at when your in them? We then rushed to the airport this afternoon to queue to check in with 5 mins to spare before they closed. We then queued again for ages in passport control before finally boarding our 55min flight.

The day has ended very well though meeting Auntie Lou at arrivals in Singapore!!

Finally a big Happy 60th Birthday to Dad, hope you have a great day!!

Dad said to say 'THANKS' for the blog mention and to everyone for his birthday wishes. He appreciated all his birthday cards, many gifts and of course Em and Kris his famous 'annual' book! Marc Boland will appreciate feedback from the 'mystery' shopper please?
